Iker Bravo signs for Real Madrid from Bayer Leverkusen: The white team closes a future movement for the forward. The Spanish striker has stood out in Germany and will now follow his progression at Raúl González’s Real Madrid Castilla
Iker Bravo signs for Real Madrid
The journalist Gerard Romero reports that Iker Bravo, a former La Masía player from Barcelona, has signed for Real Madrid, the eternal rival.
Bravo, now 17, spent the early years of his career at FC Barcelona‘s La Masía and was highly regarded during his time at the Catalan club. The striker managed to break into the club’s U-16 squad in 2020 but would leave just a year later, signing for Bayer Leverkusen.
After signing for the German outfit last year, the center-forward showed great promise in their youth teams at under-17 and under-19 levels. Bravo has three goals in three games for Die Fohlen’s under-17 side, while with the under-19 he racked up seven goals and three assists in just 14 games.
The youngster made his debut for Leverkusen’s first team in November last year but has only played once since then. Now, just a year after leaving Spain, the young prodigy is back, and Barcelona’s arch-rivals Real Madrid are set to sign him imminently.
The Whites were immersed in a tough battle with their local rival, Atlético de Madrid, in the race to sign Bravo from Leverkusen. However, it appears that the reigning Spanish and European champions have won the battle and will soon welcome the 17-year-old back.
Once the transfer is complete, Bravo is likely to join Real Madrid Castilla under club legend Raúl González. It will be interesting to see how the former La Masía ace progresses in the Spanish capital.
