5. Bridgerton:

If by “romantic” you mean “sexy” then Bridgerton is the show for you. It is Shonda Rhimes’ first Netflix series, a reign-time romance that depicts the romantic exploits of the Bridgerton family in early 18th century London. The series is based on a series of romance novels by Julia Quinn and the first season follows the passionate romance between Bridgerton’s eldest daughter Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and the hot Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page).

The chemistry between the two is right and while the first half of the season is characterized by longing looks and chaste flirting, the second half consists mainly of softcore sex scenes. Don’t look at it with your mother.

6. Elite:

If you like high school series as sexy and outrageous as possible, this Spanish series is for you. Part crime, part high school drama, Elite takes its cue from Gossip Girl in terms of treating the teenage characters like adults – which means that since the series is very European and very daring, you’ll see hot Spanish teens being played by actors be played in the twenties who sleep a lot together.

Sometimes just what it takes to get addicted to drama, then Elite is for you.

7. How I met your mother:

Even when it was broadcast on television, this series was a great success. If you want, you can now watch the end right at the beginning. But it is much nicer to be surprised! At the beginning, the slightly neurotic Ted (Josh Radnor) tells his children how he met their mother. The flashbacks show 25 years of Ted’s eventful life. Actually, he can’t really grasp it himself that at some point he still found love and became a father! The stories revolve around Ted’s great love Robin (Cobie Smulders), his best friends Marshall and Lily and the womanizer Barney. It remains open until the end who actually is Ted’s wife and the mother of the children.

The series is nice to smile about, with sympathetic main characters and a moving ending. For all romantics with stamina, these nine fun seasons are a must!

The South Korean series hit can also be seen with us since 2016. In the fictional land of Uruk, the young soldier Yoo Si-jin (Song Joong-ki) meets the doctor Kang Mo-yeon (Hye-kyo Song). Meanwhile, Kang Mo-yeon is fighting against the oppression by her male colleagues. When they want to get rid of them, they send Kang Mo-yeon on a dangerous “humanitarian” mission. There she meets Yoo Si-jin and falls in love!
In Asia, the lavishly staged series broke all viewing records. In addition to the perfect mix of action and romance, the plot advocates unprejudiced human rights and overcoming boundaries.

10. Love:

Mickey meanwhile struggles with her chaotic living conditions. Instead of getting involved with the solid Gus, she prefers to sleep with her boss. Gus consoles himself with actress Heidi and yet can never completely forget Mickey.

You can find out in three entertaining and amusing seasons on Netflix whether the big love happy ending between the nerd and the rebel will still exist!

11. Sex Education:

Although Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) is still a virgin himself, he promptly opens a sex counseling center. Where did he get his knowledge from? His mother Jean (Gillian Anderson) is a sex therapist and has plenty of relevant books and films at home. Together with his girlfriend Maeve (Emma Mackey), the pimply charming nerd Otis advises his clients. The viewers take part in the bizarre, poignant and funny stories. By the way, of course, Otis finally wants to have real experiences with love himself.

“Sex Education” is by no means just about “one thing”. Rather, you experience the chaotic emotional states of completely normal people, relationships between parents and children, neighbors and friends. Asa Butterfield’s acting debut is so thrilling that viewers around the world are begging for sequels!

12. Jane the Virgin:

The devout virgin Jane (Andrea Navedo) is artificially fertilized by an accident at the gynecologist. The sperm donation was actually intended for Petra (Yael Grobglas). She actually wanted to save her broken marriage with the wealthy hotel heir Rafael (Justin Baldoni) with the baby. When Jane learns who the child’s father is, she is amazed. About five years earlier, Rafael was the first man she’d ever kissed. Jane’s patient fiancé Michael (Brett Dier) already suspects what is in store for him now.

The US series hit is the remake of a successful South American telenovela. How the virgin with child decides in the end can be seen in 100 episodes on Netflix!

13. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend:

Nothing is too embarrassing for depressed lawyer Rebecca Bunch (Rachel Bloom)! Through a misunderstanding, she sees her ex as a soul mate who still loves her. She promptly spends her life in New York City and secretly follows Josh (Vincent Rodriguez III) to the Covina provincial nest in California. Too bad that her beloved is with his perfect childhood sweetheart Valencia. Rebecca not only annoys Josh with her penetrative behavior. When she wants to get drunk in frustration one evening, she meets the smart Greg (Santino Fontana). At first she senses a great chance in him to make Josh really jealous – but then everything turns out very differently!

Funny, crazy and with a lot of music, the series is a treat for all friends of romantic and embarrassing behavior. The performance of the crazy ex earned Rachel Bloom a Golden Globe Award in 2016.

14. Riverdale:

Riverdale seems like the perfect small-town American dream. But stylish blue jeans, cozy diners and daddy’s chic Cadillac do not hide the fact that something is wrong in this place! When a murder occurs, high school couples Archie (KJ Apa) and Veronica (Camila Mendes), Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Jughead (Cole Sprouse), and Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) and Toni (Vanessa Morga) become the machinations of the residents Riverdales dragged in. In addition to the love dance and normal everyday worries, you are suddenly confronted with the darker side of life.

In the series, the Abyssal remains more of a mysterious hint than a real horror. In addition to the iconic images of the American dream, there is plenty of romance and thrills over a whole five full seasons.

15. Dash & Lily:

Based on David Levithan’s and Rachel Cohn’s book “Dash & Lily’s Book of Dares”, the series follows the burgeoning romance between two New York teenagers (Austin Abrams and Midori Francis) who have never met, but by chance a notebook back and forth swap and send each other on tests of courage through the city at Christmas time.

No series is as happy and bright as the teen romantic comedy Dash & Lily – and it’s really lovable for that. The Christmassy setting is only half the magic of this series, which is actually a quirky story about two young people learning to find themselves.

16. The Reign:

In 1557 the young Scottish Queen Mary Stuart (Adelaide Kane) traveled to France to marry her fiancé Prince Francis (Toby Regbo). The marriage of the two should strengthen the alliance of both nations. Once in the land of her future husband, Mary is immediately drawn into intrigues of sex and power. In order not to start a war, she has to act cautiously. Her love for two men at the same time doesn’t necessarily make this easier for her! On top of that, her maid Kenna (Caitlin Stasey) begins an affair with the French king. Meanwhile, the other maids from Mary Hofstaat are looking for love.

The mixture of opulent costumes, forbidden affairs, hot sex and politics leaves no romantic soul indifferent! There are four seasons with a total of 78 episodes.

17. Gossip Girl:

Who is she who knows all the problems and secrets of New York City’s top ten thousand? The mysterious Gossip Girl likes to share details from the love lives of Blair (Leighton Meester), Serena (Blake Lively), Chuck (Ed Westwick) and other protagonists on her Internet platform. The voice of the blasphemous mouth accompanies the viewer through the highly polished world of the money nobility. Despite all their peculiarities, the characters are lovable and beautiful. We are part of their jealousy, intrigue and drug problems.

In the end, it turns out that it was precisely the quietest and smartest character in the series who spent years venturing out over the blasphemous platform. Will the exposure of the Gossip Girl’s great love stand in the way?

18. Pretty Little Liars:

When the leader of a girls’ clique is found dead, the lives of the other members turn upside down. At first they separate and each tries to deal with the events in their own way. Then a mysterious stranger called “A” answers.
