Xiaomi Redmi Note 10, Note 10S and Note 10 5G Full Specification Features and Price

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 are renewed. They do it throughout the range, which now has no less than four different versions. The maximum exponent is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro, but accompanying it are three other variants that are somewhat more modest but also more affordable.

Those variants are the Redmi Note 10, the Redmi Note 10S and the Redmi Note 10 5G, devices that maintain many of the benefits of the superior model but make some sacrifices with a clear objective: to be even more attractive in terms of price.

As can be seen, the Note 10 5G is a quite different version that has a 6.5-inch screen with an advantage and a clear disadvantage compared to its brothers. On the one hand it supports up to 90 Hz refresh rate (when the Note 10 and Note 10S stay at the traditional 60 Hz), but on the other it is not a Super AMOLED screen.

Those differences are also evident in the photographic sensor suite, which is triple in the Note 10 5G and loses the ultra wide angle. The Note 10S is the most prominent in that bet, since it has a 64-megapixel main sensor.

The Note 10 5G stands out for its SoC with support for 5G networks, but it also sacrifices options such as the minijack or the IR sensor, and the front camera is also lower resolution (8 vs 13 Mpixels). The last important difference is found in its fast charging system, also worse than that of its brothers. They support fast charging 33 W, and Note 10 5G comes only at 18 W.

In Xiaomi they highlighted how the file system used in these mobiles is UFS 2.2 , an improved version that thanks to WriteBooster technology promises to double the performance of writing operations, something that for example can be very useful when recording video or taking photos in high resolution bursts.

A design that evolves but maintains important options

Two of the three new phones in the Redmi Note 10 range have a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED screen, but the Note 10 5G goes to 6.5 inches, which, yes, is not AMOLED.

These screens have the new 360 ° brightness sensors that allow the brightness to be adjusted more appropriately, but they are also certified by the SGS consortium for low levels of blue light and have Reading Mode 3.0 technology.

Even so, they all share a design whose rear part stands out for a relatively discreet camera module that is located in the upper left part.

That back part is made of a 3D curved glass, while the front part is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 , an already veteran version of this sheet.

In this design, the small hole stands out – just 2.96 mm in diameter, they pointed out in the presentation – located in the center of the upper part to hide the 13-megapixel front camera (or, in the case of the 5G, 8-megapixel). The design of that front part is not totally symmetrical: the chin at the bottom is sensitive, while at the top there are hardly any noticeable frames.

The terminal is available in several different colors that vary depending on the model. White and gray coincide in all, but there is exclusivity for gradient green (Note 10), gradient blue (Note 10S), and navy blue (Nightime Blue) and aurora green without gradient (Note 10 5G).

There is also a unique detail for these phones compared to their predecessors: the traditional rear fingerprint reader that we saw in last year’s model is abandoned to leave the fingerprint sensor on the side button .

In that design, characteristics highly appreciated by many followers of these devices are maintained in the Note 10 and Note 10S. Thus, both the 3.5 mm headphone jack, the Micro SD slot and the infrared sensor that allows you to use the mobile as a versatile remote control remain. The third of our protagonists, the Note 10 5G, does not have a minijack or an infrared sensor.

These Redmi do not lack almost nothing

These models make some sacrifices to be more affordable, and for example we do not have 120 Hz screens – the Note 10 5G does boast a 90 Hz screen – or with higher resolution main sensors, but in everything else we are facing a few smartphones that continue to evolve in a consistent line.

This is evident in a refined design that, for example, rethinks the fingerprint sensor to take it to the side, but continues to demonstrate its ambition to make it a remarkable terminal to enjoy multimedia experiences.

This is evident in the inclusion of dual speakers – an option not present in the Note 10 5G – that allow you to enjoy a more striking stereo sound and that also supports the Hi-Res Audio standard and has a vibration motor “Z- Axis “to improve that immersion in the audio that we are listening to at all times.

That balance is also sought in specifications that will certainly not win any battle of power or photographic quality, but it will not look bad in any case in those areas. The main sensor of the Note 10 and Note 10 5G, by the way, is the same one that, for example, was the protagonist in the Xiaomi Mi 9T that we recently analyzed, and its results were very convincing.

If you are looking for the ideal candidate among these three models when it comes to posing the best possible photos, it seems that the Note 10S is the most promising due to its 64 MP main sensor. Your Helio G95 also helps here, although it does so especially in the field of gaming, since according to the manufacturer its GPU is 31% more powerful than that of the previous generation of this device.

There are still very pleasant surprises. The battery capacity is remarkable, but so is its 33W fast charging support, with the charger included in the box. That, together with the presence of the minijack, make once again the Redmi proposal very interesting for those looking for an affordable terminal with guarantees.

In the absence of being able to analyze it, the proposal is once again apparently as successful as the one that this Xiaomi brand has been doing for years.

Price and availability of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 and 10 5G
